There is nothing like cool weather in June to make me appreciate the beauty of the flowers. I look at them and think about their resilience. There they are adjusting to the wind, facing it head on.
On Saturday I completed just a little over seventeen thousand steps. I had a meeting to go to so I left everyone around the CNE area and walked up to King St. The beauty of the flowers – just like those in High Park and the waterfront – attracted me.
We are like the flowers. We have walked in rain storms, partial blizzards, and on windy days. We have walked in style and great form (all part of my definition of beauty) through all sorts of conditions.
Hail to all the flowers in the TPWs.
