Celebrating women…

What more fitting way to celebrate International Women’s Day than by spending time with close to 30 wonderful TPW members. We are mostly women (and a few good men) and extraordinary women at that. Smart, accomplished, kind, complicated and engaged – I am eternally grateful to count you amongst my friends. Even those of you who are facing difficult life issues think of ways of giving back.

If my Mum were alive she would be 101 today (Happy Birthday Mum!). Thinking about her makes me think about the many generations of women that got us here through thick and thin and those that will follow (hopefully in positions of ever greater power to do good).

Let’s all remember be extra kind and caring to the women in our lives – pick up the phone, send that text, make that lunch date, send those flowers, donate to that shelter. After all, none of us gets out of here alive so, while we are here, we might as well be as good to each other as we can manage. And, while we are at it, let’s give ourselves a big hug too.

Thank you all for being your marvelous selves!
