Walking can be so wonderful at this time of year. For most it’s post race time when choosing a training distance is an option.
I’ve found from experience that its critical to keep walking to maintain my base fitness. I didn’t do that this year and I know I have a LOT training walks to build my base. I want to get back to feeling comfortable with walking 21k.
I was talking to my family this week about potential goals for next year. I’ll start with the Robbie Burns 8k in January and if I do the work and walk the distance I will do a marathon in the fall.
